Shihan - a rock on the right bank of the Kakva River in the vicinity of the village of Shihan in the urban district of Krasnoturinsk, Sverdlovsk Region , Russia . The coastal limestone rock extended in the bend of the river for 500 m in the form of individual outliers up to 60 m high [1] . In crevices and on ledges, there is a complex of rocky flora, which includes such rare plants as Alpine aster , Ural lumbago , acicular clove , Siberian adonis , and Alpine woods fern. In the undergrowth on the rocks grow the rank of Gmelin , princess , blueberry , bone , blackcurrant .

In 2001, by Decree of the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region dated January 17, 2001 No. 41-PP, Shikhan rocks were declared a geomorphological and botanical natural monument . The same legal act entrusted the protection of the property to the Karpinsky forestry [2] . The area of a specially protected natural area is 0.7 hectares. To preserve the natural monument, it is important to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding area, as well as to exclude bonfires and the organization of campsites near the rocks.
