Biography

Born in the village of Zvyagino (now defunct) near Zagorsk on October 16, 1946. Mother - Zoya Borisovna Simon, lived in Moscow, died in the mid-2000s. There is no exact information about the father. As the son of a serviceman, Alexander studied at the Suvorov School , which he did not graduate from, but retained friendship with fellow practitioners for a long time - on the birthday of Sasha Simon, they, like lyceum students, annually celebrated "Cadet Day". He did not receive a higher and special literary education, he graduated from a medical school, and worked as an ambulance for ambulance.

According to him, from the age of 13 he began to play the guitar and write the first songs. In 1964, he met Vladimir Berezhkov and from that moment on he considered himself a member of the creative circles of Moscow. Obviously, he took his pseudonym under the influence of SMOG (The Youngest Society of Geniuses, which united L. Gubanov , V. Aleinikov , Yu. Kublanovsky and others), although Smogul himself denied this. He called his literary teachers Evgeny Rein and Vladimir Kornilov , whom he met in his mature years.

In 1968 (already under the pseudonym Smogul) he became one of the heroes of the famous popular science film about unlimited human possibilities “7 steps beyond the horizon” (Kiev KSNPF), which was reminded of whenever there were problems with the lack of permanent work. In the 70-80s he lived in odd jobs and private concerts. In those same years, he became a member of the First Circle association, which included Alexander Mirzayan , Mikhail Kochetkov , Vladimir Berezhkov , Victor Luferov , Nadezhda Sosnovskaya , Evgeny Bachurin , Vladimir Kapger, Andrey Anpilov .

Since the beginning of the 90s, he collaborated with composer Vyacheslav Malezhik , wrote lyrics for Alexander Kalyanov , Victor Popov, Mikhail Muromov , Alexander Kosenkov, Ilona Bronevitskaya . He joined the Writers Union of Russia .

In June 2002, A. Smogul participated in the 8th rally of the East Coast of the United States (among those invited were Vladimir Turiyansky , Dmitry Kimelfeld, Natalya Dudkina, Timur Shaov ), toured 16 cities of the United States. In May 2003, he participated in the international festival Russian Accent 2003 in Berlin.

Having a permanent German visa, with the right to reside and work in Germany, he periodically gave lectures for Slavic scholars at the University of Hamburg on the topic “Psychosocial Aspects of Literature”. Retaining Russian citizenship, in recent years he has hardly performed at home as a poet and performer, eschewing the literary milieu. Suddenly died on New Year's Eve 2015.

Personal life

In his interviews, A. Smogul avoided questions regarding his personal life.

The first wife is a citizen of the GDR, who in the mid-90s helped her ex-husband to obtain a disability pension from the German authorities and get a permanent work visa. From A.V. Simon, she still had a son living with his mother in Germany.

He lived with his second wife Lyudmila Muradova for ten years, when registering a marriage, Alexander Simon took the name of his wife.

The third wife is Lyudmila Klementyeva, a writer. Lived 10 years.

The fourth wife of A. Smogul (Muradov) is Claudia Gremyako.
