Trigilla, Carlo

An ordinary professor of economic sociology at the political science department of the University of Florence ( Cesare Alfieri ). He works for the Italianieuropei Foundation, which is headed by D'Alema and Amato . He professionally deals with the problems of local development, renewal, development of cities, the South of Italy and in general - the links between politics and economics. He is the Director of the European Research Center for Local and Regional Development (Centro Europeo di Studi sullo Sviluppo Locale e Regionale or CESVI) of the University of Florence. He taught at a number of foreign universities, including Harvard , and is on the editorial boards of Stato e Mercato and Il Mulino. Member of the Italian Council of Social Sciences (Consiglio Italiano per le Scienze Sociali, CSS), President of the RES Foundation (Institute for Economic and Social Studies in Sicily - Istituto di Ricerca e Economia e Società in Sicilia) ^[1] .

From April 28, 2013 to February 22, 2014, he was Minister without portfolio for development of territories in the Letta government .
