Chepelev, Mikhail Evgrafovich

Mikhail Evgrafovich Chepelev (February 25, 1879 - May 9, 1917, Khabarovsk) is an officer of the Russian Imperial Navy, a participant in the Ihe-Tuan uprising and the Russo-Japanese war . Orthodox religion.

Service

In training since 1891 in the Naval Cadet Corps . September 17, 1897 was promoted to midshipman of the fleet.

May 24, 1898 was assigned to the Siberian Navy Crew (SFE). July 20, 1898 arrived in Vladivostok on the steamship of the Voronezh Dobroflot . Since February 24, 1903 he was appointed the manager of the work on setting milestones and beacons in the Amur estuary . From the same year he was appointed naval officer for the Kamchadal transport, intended for pilotage and hydrographic work at the hydrographic service of the Amur Water Administration. With the outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War, he was placed at the disposal of the chief of defense of the Amur estuary and the Amur River , was assigned to the transport department of the detachment of the Vladivostok port captain 1st rank captain N. A. Haupt . After the commissioning of Port Arthur , Kamchadal was officially transferred from Vladivostok to Nikolaevsk (now Nikolaevsk-on-Amur ). With the beginning of navigation in 1905, Kamchadal, Tunguz , and minosocks of the Siberian Military Flotilla were assigned to control shipping in the northern part of the estuary. Also Mikhail Evgrafovich was engaged in pilotage works on pilotage of vessels with military supply to the Nikolaev raid. After the war, continue the production of pilotage and hydrographic work in the Pacific [1] .

June 11, 1907 promoted to senior lieutenant , (Order of the FMV No. 132). At one of Mikhail Evgrafovich’s shifts, the Kamchadal transport he ran ran aground. On October 13, 1908, he and the commander of the transport of the naval naval corps, Lieutenant Colonel Lukin, were acquitted of this incident, (VP No. 863).

On December 24, 1911, he was appointed Acting Senior Officer of the Askold armored cruiser (FMV Order No. 383). March 25, 1912 promoted to captain of the 2nd rank, (VP No. 1100). March 29, 1912 approved in office, (Order of the FMV No. 88).

On June 16, 1913 he was appointed commander of the Yakut messenger ship (former tansport), (Order of the FMV No. 171). On the ship he carried out transport and security voyages of marine industries and gold mines on the Kamchatka coast. On October 17, while entering Kamchatka, he visited the grave of Admiral Price in Tarja Bay [3] [4] [5] .

 
Mine layer "Ussuri"

On January 5, 1915 he was appointed commander of the Ussuri mine layer, (VP No. 1350). From April to December 1915, Ussuri, under his command, made the transition from Vladivostok through the Suez Canal (July 19, 1915 call to Aden ) and the Mediterranean Sea to Aleksandrovsk-on-Murman (now the city of Polyarny ). Here, a mine layer was seconded to the Kola Bay Defense Force Squad, which was being formed since January 1916. He combined the position of the chief of protection of the water area of ​​the Kola Bay and the Murmansk coast. On August 9, he transferred the ship under the command of Senior Lieutenant K.K. Neupokoev [6] . On August 23 of the same year, he was officially transferred from the Siberian Navy crew to the 2nd Baltic Fleet Crew (FMV Order No. 429). Since November 10, 1916 in Petrograd he was a member of the medical commission for the recruitment of new recruits for the acquisition of the Baltic Fleet teams [1] .

While in Khabarovsk on official business, M. E. Chepelev died in the Khabarovsk military infirmary on May 9, 1917 [7] , and was buried in Vladivostok [8] . June 12, 1917 is excluded from the lists of the deceased [1] .
