Colonies on agar Chapek limited growing, on the 14th day they reach a diameter of 2.5 cm, velvety to woolly, radially folded, in the center are crater-shaped, slightly spore-bearing, white. Sporulation in greyish tones. Sometimes there are droplets of a colorless or yellowish exudate. The reverse is light yellow, less often pinkish-brownish, orangeish. On CYA, colonies are more broadly growing, woolly, without exudate, with unpainted or creamy reverse, with light amber soluble pigment.
Conidiophores are single-tier, sometimes incorrectly branched, very short, about 25 microns long, 1.2-1.8 microns thick, smooth-walled. Phialides in whorls of 6-8, flask-like, 5-7 × 1.5-2.5 microns. Conidia are spherical, rough, 2-2.5 microns in diameter.
