Biography
Born in the town of Liberty, Kursk Region in a family of workers. Since 1943, after the end of the seven-year period, he began working as a toolmaker at the Svobodinsky Mechanical Plant. Since 1949 he served in the Navy of the USSR .
Since 1953 he worked as a toolmaker at the Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant . Since 1955, he was sent as a metalworker in the closed city of Zlatoust-20 to the USSR MSM Instrument-Making Plant for the production of components for nuclear weapons.
April 26, 1971 "For outstanding services in fulfilling the five-year plan for the release of special products, the introduction of new equipment and advanced technologies," by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Anatoly Dmitrievich Sotnikov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor .
In addition to his main activities, he was elected a member of the Bureau of the Party Committee of the PSZ , a member of the Bureau of the Civil Party of the CPSU of the city of Zlatoust-36, and a member of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions .
Since 2002, retired. He died in 2013 in Trekhgorny .
