Biography
Vladimir Pavlov was born on May 6, 1956 in the Shibertuy ulus of the Bichursky district of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .
After studying in high school, he entered the Buryat Agricultural Institute , which he graduated in 1978 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He began his career as chief engineer of the Novosretensky state farm, in which he worked until 1987.
In 1987 he was appointed director of the Novosretensky state farm. From 1994 to 2002, he worked as chairman of the Novosretensky agricultural production cooperative. He was elected as a deputy of the district Council of Deputies of 3 convocations.
He was elected as a deputy of the People’s Khural of the Republic of Buryatia of the II, III and IV convocations. In 2002 and 2007 he was elected chairman of the Committee of the People’s Hural of the Republic of Buryatia on land issues, agricultural policy and the consumer market - one of the leading Committees of the parliament of the republic.
As chairman of the Committee, he showed himself to be an experienced and professional leader, he initiated the adoption of more than 30 laws of Buryatia, which were important for the social and economic development of the republic.
From October 2005 to August 2007 he was chairman of the Buryat regional branch of the political party Agrarian Party of Russia . In December 2008, he was elected secretary of the BRO runway " United Russia ".
On September 9, 2018, the People's Khural of Buryatia of the sixth convocation was elected [1] . On September 19, at the first parliamentary meeting, Vladimir Pavlov was elected Chairman of the People’s Khural. 45 deputies voted for Vladimir Pavlov, against “- 18. A total of 64 people out of 66 parliamentarians voted [2] .
