Biography
Born in the village of Zudilovo, Pervomaisky district, Altai Territory. In 1985 he graduated from the Altai Agricultural Institute, receiving the specialty "Agronomist". In 1984-1987 he worked as a foreman of the Povaliikhinsky state farm. In 1988 he entered the graduate school of the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev , graduated in 1990. In 1991 he defended his thesis on "Justification of promising methods of pre-sowing preparation of carrot seeds and optimization of conditions for their germination in the field" [2] in the specialty "Vegetable".
In 1991, he began teaching at the Altai State Agrarian University, first taking the post of assistant in the department of vegetable growing and fruit growing. In 1992-1995 He was an assistant professor at the Department of Horticulture; in 1995-1997 - Head of the Department of Horticulture; in 1997-2014. - Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.
In 2013, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Agrobiological substantiation of an assortment for the conveyor growing of green and spicy-aromatic crops in open and protected ground in Western Siberia” [3] with a degree in Vegetable Production.
By order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation No. 72-kr dated April 17, 2014, he was appointed interim rector of the Altai State Agrarian University [4] ; in the election of the rector on December 25, 2014 received 160 of the 200 votes and was elected rector [1] [5] .
Scientific activity
The field of scientific activity is the improvement of production technology and an increase in the assortment of vegetables.
