Biography
Born in Kostroma. He graduated from the Leningrad Forestry Engineering Academy (1954).
- 1954-1960 tax engineer engineer of the Lenavia detachment of the Forest Aviation Trust.
- 1960-1977 Junior Researcher, Senior Researcher, Head of the Department of Agricultural Soil Science, Deputy Director for Research, North-West Research Institute of Agriculture.
- 1977-1979 Director of the Leningrad branch of the Central Research Institute of Agrochemical Services for Agriculture.
- 1979-1989 General Director of NPO Belogorka.
- 1989-1999 Deputy Chairman of the Office for the Non-Black Earth Zone of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
- 1999–2010 Head of the Department of Physics, Physicochemistry and Biophysics of Soils of the Agrophysical Research Institute.
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1985), Professor (1986), Corresponding Member of the Agricultural Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1989), Academician of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1990).
One of the authors of the agricultural system for the North-Western zone of the RSFSR.
He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1978), the Red Banner of Labor (1982) and medals.
