Club career
Sonnleitner began his professional career at the HAC club. In 2004, to get playing practice, Mario on a leasehold moved to Kapfenberg . After returning from a lease, he made his debut for the main squad in the Austrian Bundesliga . In 2007, Sonnleitner moved to Sturm , in which, in 2009, he won the Austrian Cup . On December 3, in the Europa League match against the Dynamo Bucharest, he scored a goal [2] .
In the summer of 2010, Sonnleitner, as a free agent, signed an agreement with the capital Rapid . On July 18, in a match against Wacker , he made his debut for a new club [3] . On August 22, in a duel against Mattersburg , Mario scored his first goal for Rapid [4] .
