Pendeli ( Greek Δήμος Πεντέλης [2] ) is a community (dim) in Greece . Included in the peripheral unit of North Athens in the periphery of Attica . The population of the community is 34 934 people according to the 2011 census [2] . Area - 36,064 square kilometers [1] . Density - 968.67 people per square kilometer [2] . The administrative center is Melisia . In the 2014 local elections, Dimitris Steriu-Kapsalis ( Δημήτρης Στεργίου-Καψ выбранληарх ) was elected as the Darch .

The Pendeli community was created in 1933 ( Greek ΦΕΚ 283Α ). The community was created in 2006 ( Greek ΦΕΚ 822Β ), in 2010 ( Greek ΦΕΚ 87Α ) under the Kallikratis program , the abolished communities Melisia and Nea Pendeli were added to the community [3] . The name received from Mount Pendelicon .
