Gein, Alexander Georgievich

Alexander G. Gein (January 29, 1950 , Sverdlovsk ) - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences , Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences , Professor , Associate Professor , author of more than 170 scientific papers. In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ural State University with a degree in Mathematics, and later began to work there. Since 2007, he is the dean of the faculty of continuing education of teachers of science.

Biography

Alexander Georgievich was born on January 29, 1950 in Sverdlovsk. In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of the UFU with a degree in Mathematics, and later began to work there. Since 2007, he is the dean of the faculty of continuing education of teachers of science. At the university, he taught a number of basic mathematical courses at mathematical, mechanical, chemical and philosophical faculties, as well as several special courses, including “Lie algebras and the lattices of their subalgebras”, “Theoretical foundations of school informatics” [1] [2] .

The author of more than 170 scientific papers and two monographs in mathematics, computer science and pedagogy. Also, under his leadership, protected two candidate and one doctoral dissertation in pedagogy. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Education and Science. Izvestia UrO RAO. He is a co-author of the school textbook “Mathematics. 5-6. Interlocutor Textbook ”, awarded at the All-Union School Books Competition in 1987 and included in the federal set of textbooks for educational institutions. Under the direction of Alexander Georgievich, 14 textbooks on computer science were created, which were also included in different years in the federal set of school textbooks [1] [2] .

Since 2001, is a full member of the Academy of Informatization of Education of the Russian Federation [1] [2] .

He was awarded the VDNKh medal for the development of a program-methodological complex for the school computer science course and the creation of the first computer science textbook recommended by the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR (1991). He has the title “Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation” in 2008. An article about Alexander Georgievich was included in the encyclopedia “The Best People of Russia” in 2006 [1] [2] .
