Samararie ( Ukrainian Primamar'ya ) or Posamamario ( Ukrainian Posamamar'ya ) is a historical-geographical region located in the Samara River basin in the east of Dnipropetrovsk , in the west of Donetsk and in the north of the Zaporozhye region . Sometimes Samaria are also referred to as Nadporozhya.

History
Initially, Posamaria was the center of the Russian (Ulitskoe) site of ancient settlement on Igrensky Island (see Peresechenya ), later Brodnitskaya Samar, with the Cossacks the main city was Samar [1] . The Samara palanka of the Zaporozhian Army was located on the lands of Prisamaria. Then Novomoskovsk (formerly New Samara) became the center of Posamaria. At the time of Zaporizhzhya Sich, New Samara was the center of the Samara Palanca , and after joining the Russian Empire , Novomoskovsk Uyezd , and Pavlograd was at that time the center of the Palograd Uezd . Since ancient times, the river network has served as a strategically important route from the Dnieper to the Azov and Black Sea . The territories of Prisamaria often became the arena of struggle between the Zaporzhskaya Sich and the Crimean Khanate [2] .
Current position
Nowadays, the main cities of Posamaria are Pokrovsk , Pavlograd and Novomoskovsk. About 1,200,000 people live in the Posamaria area (approximately 500,000 people each in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, 200,000 people live in Zaporizhia)
