Biography

Grigory Petrovich Mostalygin was born on December 27, 1925 in the village of Tolstovka in the Catherine Volost of the Samara district of the Samara province of the RSFSR , now the village is part of the Rural settlement of Kupino, Bezenchuksky district of the Samara region .

From 1942 to 1944 he worked as a turner at the factory number 28 in the city of Sverdlovsk . Since 1946 he studied and in 1950 graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute [1] . After graduating from the institute, he worked as a technologist, deputy shop manager at the plant named after M. I. Kalinin . Since 1953 - graduate student, since 1956 - assistant, senior lecturer, assistant professor, head of the Department of Metal Technology of the Ural Polytechnic Institute .

Since 1959, a member of the CPSU .

In 1960-1995 he worked at the Kurgan Engineering Institute : in 1960-1966 he was vice-rector for academic and scientific work, in 1966-1970 he was the head of the Department of Metal Technology, in 1970-1986 G. P. Mostalygin was the rector of the institute, in In 1986-1991, he was the head of the Department of Engineering Technology, since 1991 a professor at the Department of Engineering Technology at the KMI, since 1995 he worked as a professor at the Department of Engineering Technology at Kurgan State University [1] .

Grigory Petrovich participated in scientific research aimed at improving the technological processes of manufacturing machine parts; more than fifty of his works were put into production [1] at the enterprises of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and at the Kurgan Wheel Tractor Plant .

He is the author of more than 170 publications, 7 inventions and 4 study guides, among them the textbook "Engineering Technology" [1] .

He was elected as a deputy of the Kurgan city Council of People’s Deputies, a member of the Kurgan Regional Committee and the City Committee of the CPSU, a member of the Kurgan Regional Audit Commission of the CPSU, chairman of the council of rectors of universities of the Kurgan region [1] .

Academician of the International Academy of Ecology and Life Safety.

Grigory Petrovich Mostalygin died on January 10, 2007, was buried in the cemetery of the village of Ketovo, Ketovsky district, Kurgan region [2] .
