Salavat Galievich Shabiev (village Novokochkildino , Askinsky district , Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , USSR ) - Soviet and Russian scientist, doctor of architecture (1994), professor (1994). Full member of the International Academy of Science of Science (1997), corresponding member of the International Academy of Architecture of the East (1999), adviser to RAASN (1999), member of the Union of Architects of Russia (1977) [1] .

Biography
Born May 11, 1948 in the village of Novokochkildino [2] of the Askinsky district of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . He entered the Sverdlovsk Institute of Architecture , graduating in 1974, after which he was sent to Ufa, where for 5 years he was engaged in design activities - the architect of the Bashkir Grazhdanproekt Institute, and since 1978 the head of the group of the Ufa Region Workshop of the Soyuzsportproekt Institute [2] .
In 1979-1982 he studied at the graduate school of the Sverdlovsk Institute UralpromstroiNIIproekt. In 1984, at the Moscow Architectural Institute, he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of architecture on the topic “Formation of the architectural composition of objects with highly mechanized flow production: on the example of rolling and pipe shops” [3] , in 1993 - a doctoral dissertation on the topic “Architectural and Environmental formation of enterprises of metallurgy and mechanical engineering of the Urals ” [4] .
In 1985-1986, in Ufa, he served as deputy chairman of the Gosstroy of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1987 he was invited to teach in Chelyabinsk at the Faculty of Architecture of SUSU as the head of the Department of Architecture, since 2002 - Dean of the Faculty [1] . Since 1999 - Advisor to the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences [2] .
Scientific activity
His research interests are environmental architecture. Founder of the South Ural Regional School of Architecture. Author and co-author of over 30 projects, among which [2] :
- planning of residential areas of Uchaly (1975);
- layout of the building of the Ufa branch of the Russian Correspondence Institute of Textile and Light Industry (1977; now the Faculty of Chemical Technology of BSU);
- layout of the building of the Bashkir Republican Statistics Office (1989; now the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of Belarus, Ufa);
- Palace of Culture of Oil Workers in Ufa [5] .
Supervisor of 2 candidates of architecture. Supervises graduate school and magistracy in the direction of "Architecture". Executive editor of the international electronic scientific journal "Architecture, Urban Planning and Design" [1] .

- two letters of honor from the governor of the Chelyabinsk region (1998, 2008);
- Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland of the II Degree" (2007);
