Alexandrov, Dmitry Valerevich

Biography

Dmitry Valerievich was born on June 17, 1971 in Sverdlovsk. In 1997 he graduated from the Physics Department of UFU [1] .

From 1995 to 1997 he worked as an intern researcher at UFU, from 1997 to 1999 - a junior research fellow. Since 1999, he has been working as a senior researcher in the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Optimal Control of the Research Institute of Physics and Applied Mathematics of the UFU. From 1997 to 2000 he was an assistant, in 2000 he became an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematical Physics [1] .

The scientific activities of Dmitry Valerievich include the study of phase transitions in the processes of crystallization and evaporation of matter, as well as the solution of a number of important scientific problems. The results of these studies are published in reputable scientific journals: Reports of the Academy of Sciences, Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, Crystallography, Melts, Journal Fluid Mechanics, Journal Crystal Growth, Int. Journal Heat and Mass Transfer ”,“ Acta Materialia, Physica A ”and others. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation "The origin and dynamics of a two-phase zone in the processes of directional solidification" [1] .

In 2005, 2006 and 2008, he conducted research at the University of Tangai in Taiwan . In 2008, he also engaged in joint research work with German colleagues at the Institute of Material Physics in Cologne. From 2004 to 2009, he was the head of four grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, two grants of the President of the Russian Federation and four state contracts for scientific research. He is the author of 135 scientific works, including three monographs published by Begell House Inc., a New York publishing house, and three study guides. Under the leadership of Dmitry Valerievich, three candidate dissertations were defended [1] .

In 2002, he was awarded the prize of the Ural University for a series of works “Structural formation and evolution of interfacial fronts in the phenomena of physicochemical macrokinetics” [1] .
