Club career

He made his debut in the first team on September 9, 1984 in a match against Sporting Gijon , the teams scored a draw 1: 1 [1] . But he could not gain a foothold in the capital's club. In the 1989/90 season, he played 16 matches and scored eight goals in La Liga, and Real Madrid became the champion [2] [3] . He also scored the club’s 400th goal in the European Cup on November 7, 1990 in a match against Tyrol , the teams drew 2-2 (Losada scored a double) [4] [5] .
In the 1987/88 season, Lozada went on loan to Espanyol and scored eight goals for the season, and also helped the team reach the UEFA Cup final . The fate of the tournament was decided by two matches against Bayer 04 . Lozada scored a double in the first match for the Catalans (3: 0) [6] , but in the return match the German team recouped and transferred the game to a penalty shootout. Lozada failed to realize his shot, and his mistake became decisive, Bayer won on a penalty 3: 2.
Subsequently, Lozada played for Atletico Madrid , but left the club due to a conflict with President Jesus Gil [7] . Then he spent only three matches for Sevilla , where he met with Diego Maradona . The last club of Lozada was Celta . He ended his career at only 27 years old, after which he became a lawyer. In 2004, he unsuccessfully tried to become president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation [8] [9] .
International Career
Lozada was a member of the Spanish national team under 20 at the 1985 World Cup , scored three goals in the tournament (became the top scorer [10] ), and his team reached the final, where they lost with a minimum score after extra-times in Brazil [11] .
January 18, 1995 Lozada played his first and only match for the main team of Spain , having entered the second half of the friendly game with Uruguay in La Coruña , the match ended in a draw 2: 2 [12] .
