Biography
The son of Andrei Grigorievich Iossa (1777 - not earlier than 1829), the manager of the Theological Plant. Grandson of mining engineer and metallurgist Gregory Iossa (1804–1874).
In the service and class rank since 1835 [2] . Graduated from the Institute of Mining Engineers in 1838. He served at the Kolyvano-Voskresensky (Altai) factories [3] .
Since 1842, he worked at the St. Petersburg Mint [3] , has been managing the mechanical part since 1866. The sign on the coins is HI. Years of work at the mint: 1848, 1852-1855, 1866-1878 [4] . Acting State Councilor (1871) [2] , in the service of the Ministry of Finance [2] .
Wife - Sofya Ivanovna, daughter of a mining engineer I.K. Möller. Children: Andrey (famous architect), Gregory, Nikolai, Sophia.
