He earned his first fortune in Russia , later in 2008 he lost everything, and then he earned it again. Born in the family of Borgolfur Gudmundsson . Chairman of the financial firm Straumur-Burdaras and chairman of the investment company Novator Partners. As of March 2017, he was the richest man in Iceland and one of the richest people in the world according to Forbes. His most valuable holding is the share of the Polish telecommunications equipment Play, in addition, he invested in startups, such as the online platform Zwift for indoor cycling [2] , as well as the Icelandic MMG company CCP Games [3] .
