Microcebus ganzhorni (lat.) - a type of mouse lemur . Endemic of Madagascar . It was discovered in 2016 by a group of scientists from the German center for the study of primates. Initially found primates of this species were assigned to related species Microcebus berthae (described in 2013), Microcebus boraha and Microcebus manitatra . [2] Morphological similarity did not allow to separate Microcebus boraha in a separate view. This was done later according to the results of mitochondrial DNA research. [1] [3] A species epithet was given in honor of the primatologist from the University of Hamburg, Jurg Ganzhorn. [2]
