Biography
Alexander Khotsyanovsky was born on July 20, 1990 in the city of Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR . He began to seriously engage in wrestling at the age of nine, was trained in the Donetsk sports club "Dynamo". Subsequently, he moved permanently to Kiev , was a ward of Honored Coach of Ukraine Grigory Vladimirovich Danko .
First declared himself in 2010, winning a bronze medal at the European championship among juniors in Bulgaria.
In 2011, he entered the main team of the Ukrainian national team and visited the European Championship in Dortmund .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , but in the very first fight of the category up to 120 kg with a score of 0: 3 he was defeated by Turk Tahi Akgyul and immediately dropped out of the fight for medals [1] . Also for the first time this season, he became the champion of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling, having won Muradin Kushkhov in the final, and won in the Cup of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine in Kiev , where he prevailed over Alen Zaseev in the final.
After the London Olympics, Khotsyanovsky remained in the main wrestling team of Ukraine and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2013, he became the silver medalist of the national championship, losing to Zaseev in the final, and, as a student, went to represent the country at the summer Universiade in Kazan , from where he brought the silver dignity award - in the decisive match of the super heavyweight division he was stopped by the Turkish Taha Akgul.
At the 2014 European Championships in Vantaa, Alexander Khotsyanovsky won a bronze medal, Akgul again won the semifinal bout.
In 2015, he fought at the European Games in Baku , taking ninth place in the heavyweight championship.
In 2019, at the European Championships in Bucharest, he managed to win a bronze medal.
For outstanding sporting achievements, he was awarded the honorary title " Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class " [2] .
