Eyewitness accounts
Petrov K. A. (name changed), at that time the electrician of the signaling system of the Orenburg distance, the signaling system of ШЧ-14, “On traveling”: in the 90s, traveling was mothballed. The arrows are sewn up in the direction of the main path, the EC posts are boarded up, the traffic signals at the junction are extinguished and indicated by cross bars (the traffic light does not work). Around the 2000s, a decision was made to finally dismantle both routes.
Manko V. D., a former deputy head of the Orenburg distance of the signaling system ШЧ-14, retired, a teacher at the Orenburg TZhT "On the elimination of auto-blocking": they dismantled everything in a barbaric way, in fact, nobody took apart anything. Tractors came and demolished relay cabinets directly with the equipment, tied the cables to the masts of traffic lights and knocked down together with the heads, nobody thought about the integrity and safety of the signaling equipment, the cabinets were scrapped, the relays were sent to the trash. No one cared.
Passenger movement
Until 2009, the local train Orenburg - Muraptalovo and Muraptalovo-Orenburg stopped at the former junction. They were canceled due to the unwillingness of the Republic of Bashkortostan to compensate for part of the cost of servicing this train.
