European Football Championship 2019 (Youth U19, Qualifying Tournament)
2019 European Football Championship Qualifying Tournament - a competition held to determine the seven teams that joined the Armenian national team at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. The tournament is attended by national teams of all UEFA member countries. Players born after January 1, 2000 are allowed to play.
Content
Format
The qualifying tournament was held in two stages:
Qualifying round - 52 teams (with the exception of the best-rated teams of Portugal and Germany , which immediately qualified in the elite round) were divided into 13 groups of 4 teams each. The games will be held in one circle in the fields of one of the member countries of the group. Teams that took 1st and 2nd places in their groups will enter the elite round of the qualifying tournament.
Elite round - 28 teams will be divided into 7 groups, 4 in each. Following the results of the one-round tournament, seven group winners will qualify for the final tournament of the European Championship, where they will join the organizing team.
Points Distribution
If two or more teams scored the same number of points, the following criteria are used:
1. The number of points in matches between these teams; 2. The difference in goals between the teams; 3. The number of goals scored in matches between these teams, if two teams have the same criteria 1-3, they are recounted between these teams (between 3 or 4 teams).
If this does not work, then use:
4. Goal difference in all matches; 5. The number of goals scored in all matches; 6. If the teams play their match in the group at the end and share first place after it, having an equal number of goals scored and conceded, tied in the match, and no one can catch or overtake them, a penalty shootout is held. 7. Fewer disciplinary points scored by receiving yellow and / or red cards. 8. The highest position in the ranking used to draw the qualifying round. 9. Draw

The draw for the qualification round took place on December 7, 2017 at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon . The teams were divided into four baskets, according to the rating earned during the performances at the last three European championships (including qualifying tournaments). During the draw, for political reasons, the teams of Serbia and Kosovo, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Bosnia and Kosovo were separated, which could not fall into the same group.
