Artopoetes is a genus of day butterflies from the Lycaenidae family, common in East and Southeast Asia.

Description
Females are slightly larger than males. The eyes are bare. The front legs of the males are segmented. Hind wings without tail. The wings of males on the upper side are dark, in their central part are pale cobalt- violet in color with whitish gaps, brownish-brown to the edges. In females, the wings are more rounded, also dark, in the central part “whitened”. The underside of the wings is white or whitish-gray with two parallel rows of black dots along the outer edge of the wings [1] .

Russia ( Khabarovsk Territory , Primorye , Jewish Autonomous Region , Amur Region ), Japan , Korea , North and North-East China [1] .
Biology
For a year this develop in one generation. Mirmecophiles - caterpillars live in symbiosis with ants [1] . Pupilize on the underside of leaves of fodder plants.
