Cholavin, Gabriel Ivanovich

Gavriil Ivanovich Cholavin ( July 8, 1926 , the village of Bukovets, now the non-existent village of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship , Republic of Poland ) - Ukrainian Soviet leader, innovator in agricultural production, machine operator of the collective farm “Ukraine”, Sokalsky district, Lviv region. Hero of Socialist Labor (12/31/1965). Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 6-8th convocations.

Biography

Born into a poor peasant family. In the late 1940s, the family was resettled from the Polish People's Republic to the Ukrainian SSR.

In 1949-1951 he was a collective farmer, a riding collective farm named after Budyonny Kalush district of the Stanislav region. He graduated from tractor courses.

In 1951-1978 - mechanic, foreman of the mechanized brigade, engineer of the collective farm "Ukraine" in the village of Dibrovka (now - Ugrinov ) (the central estate in the village of Pravda (now - Khorobrov )) of the Sokalsky district of Lviv region. He achieved mastery in planting corn and sugar beets by a mechanized square-nesting method, and collected record crops of these crops.

Member of the CPSU since 1961 .

Since 1978 - retired.
