Zurab Hasambiyevich Dokshokov (born September 13, 1952) - Soviet civil engineer, Russian lawyer, entrepreneur and politician, member of the Federation Council (2009-2011).

Biography
In 1976, he graduated from the Kabardino-Balkarian State University with a degree in civil engineering, then worked in the Karachaycherkesselstroy trust ( Cherkessk ). In 1997, he graduated from the Law Faculty of the Karachay-Cherkess Institute of Technology, headed the Prikubansky IPMC, Garant OJSC, Kubanstroyservis LLC. In 2004 he was elected a deputy to the People’s Assembly of Karachay-Cherkessia [1] .
In 2007 he entered the list of candidates from the “ United Russia ” in the elections to the State Duma [2] , but was not elected.
On October 29, 2008, he was unanimously elected Chairman of the Third National Assembly of Karachay-Cherkessia due to the appointment of his predecessor Sergey Smorodin as First Deputy Prime Minister and Permanent Representative of Karachay-Cherkessia in Moscow which became the speakers of the parliament Russian) [3] .
March 24, 2009, re-elected Chairman of the National Assembly of the fourth convocation [4] .
On November 17, 2009, the deputies of the National Assembly elected Dokshokov as the representative of the legislative body of Karachay-Cherkessia in the Federation Council for a seat that remained vacant for several months due to the refusal of the majority of parliamentarians to support the candidacy of Vyacheslav Derev [5] ( Ratmir Aybazov previously held this position, but 28 May 2009, the National Assembly supported the decision of the President of Karachay-Cherkessia Boris Ebzeev on the election of Aybazov as a member of the Council of Federation from the executive body of the government in connection with the expiration his authority as a representative of parliament [6] , and on June 17, 2009, his powers in a new capacity were confirmed [7] .
On December 16, 2009, the Federation Council confirmed Dokshokov’s authority [8] .
From December 2009 he was a member of the Industrial Policy Committee, from January to June 2010 - member of the Commission on Natural Monopolies, from January 2010 to February 2011 - member of the Commission on Housing Policy and Housing and Communal Services, from June 2010 - member of the Federation Council Commission on development of civil society institutions, from February 2011 - Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Housing Policy and Housing and Communal Services.
On April 13, 2011, Dokshokov’s powers were terminated [9] .
