Biography

Born in 1954 in Hall in Tirol . In 1976, he took part in the Montreal Olympics , but did not succeed. In 1980, he took 12th place in the European Championships, and also took part in the Olympic Games in Moscow , but did not succeed. In 1981 he became the bronze medalist of the World Cup, but at the European Championship was only 11th. At the 1983 World Cup, he took 8th place. In 1984, he took 5th place at the European Championships, and also became 5th at the Los Angeles Olympic Games . In 1985, he again took 5th place in the European Championship. At the 1986 European Championships he won a silver medal. In 1987, he took 15th place in the World Cup. In 1988, he took part in the Seoul Olympics , and took 6th place there. At the world championships of 1989 and 1991, he was 8th.
