Biography
Born in a poor working family. Until 1937, she studied singing at the Bulgarian Conservatory under the guidance of Khristina Morfova and Lyudmila Prokopova .
For the first time she entered the stage of the Odeon operetta theater in 1937/1938, where she performed a number of roles in the works of Strauss, Kalman and Lehar. In December 1943 she made her debut at the Sofia Opera and Ballet Theater and performed for almost two decades. Her repertoire included roles, mainly of classical works by Italian, French and Russian authors.
She taught at the Bulgarian Conservatory for many years. Vocal professor. Since 1992 - at the New Bulgarian University, where she was one of the founders of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (today - the Department of Music). For many years of creative and pedagogical activity in 2000, she became an honorary professor at the New Bulgarian University.
She was buried in the Central Cemetery of Sofia .
