Content
History
One of the oldest settlements of the northwest Mari . It existed already in the 17th century , when it was the center of the Mari Kugusherg princedom , later it was part of the Kugusherg volost of yasak cheremis — it was old baptized, and in the 19th – beginning of the 20th century it was Maloshalai volost of the Yaran district of the Vyatka province .
