Player Career

Doolin's first club was Bohemians , for which he scored in his debut match on September 13, 1981. In April 1983, he played for the youth team of the League of Ireland against Italian colleagues, among whom were Roberto Mancini and Gianluca Vialli [1] .

In June 1985, he signed a contract with Shamrock Rovers and in three years he scored a “golden double” at the club, scoring 30 goals in 107 matches. In his first season on the team, he became the club's top scorer with 11 goals. He spent six matches in European competitions, and also played for the League of Ireland team.

In 1988, he joined Derry City , where in 1989 he won all three domestic trophies. For two seasons, he scored 29 goals in 92 matches. He then joined Portadown and became the first player to win a championship and a cup in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland .

In November 1991, he again signed a contract with Shamrock Rovers, but the return was not successful, Dulin scored only one goal in 21 matches. In the end, he joined Shelburne , where he won the 1993 Irish Football Cup . In August 1996, he returned to Bohemians, then moved to Dundalk , and then returned to Shelburne and helped the club win the championship and the cup in 2000.

Coach Career

In 2001, before the end of the player’s career, Dulin began coaching and headed the USD . After a successful first season, the club barely escaped relegation in the 2002/03 season. As a result, Dulin became the coach of Droeda United , he led them to the first ever victory in the Cup of Ireland (2005), as well as to two victories in the Setanta Cup in 2006 and 2007, where the club in the finals beat Cork City and Linfield "Respectively. He also led the club to its first champion title in 2007.

Leaving Droeda due to the club’s precarious financial situation, Dulin signed a two-year contract with Cork City on January 13, 2009 [2] . Despite the fact that the team took third place in the League of Ireland in 2009, Doolin resigned in November of the same year due to a number of financial problems in the club [3] . In September 2010, Doolin was appointed coach of the youth team of Ireland until the age of 19 [4] .

His nephew Ryan plays for the Shamrock Rovers youth team [5] .
