Bezborodov, Alexander Borisovich

In 1977 he graduated from the Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute , Department of Archival Affairs.

He has been working at MGIAI (since March 1991 - RSUH) since 1977: assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor , professor , head of the Department of Contemporary History of Russia (since 1998), dean of the faculty of archival affairs (1990-1996), deputy director of the IAI of the RSUH ( 1992–1996), Director of the Institute of Atomic Energy, Russian State Humanitarian University (since 1996), Vice-Rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University for Academic Affairs (2013–2016), First Vice-Rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs (2016–2017).

By order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation O. Yu. Vasilyeva on August 29, 2017 was appointed acting rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University ^[3] . By order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation M.M. Kotyukov on August 28, 2018, he was appointed rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University ^[4] .

The author of over 250 scientific, scientific, methodological and popular science works ^[5] .

In August 2019, about 100 students of the Russian State Humanitarian University demanded that A.B. Bezborodov, so that he would no longer threaten them with expulsion for participating in protests, and “express their sharply critical attitude” to the statement made by him about the possibility of such measures on the part of the leadership of the RSUH. These requirements were set out in an open letter from students to A.B. Bezborodovu. In this letter it was said, in particular: "we urge you as the rector of the RSUH to focus on the goals of the university, approved by its charter, and not on finding ways to punish students for their extra-university activities" ^[6] .
