Sherka Monique Wright ( born Shereka Monique Wright ; born September 21, 1981 , Coppers Cove , Texas , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who played for the women's national basketball association . She was chosen by the 2004 draft VNBA in the first round under the general thirteenth number by the Detroit Shock club. She played the role of light forward . At the end of her career, she entered the coaching staff of the NCAA Texas Tech Lady Ryders team. At this time, she is an assistant to the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide student team.
