Holidays in Vanuatu are official memorable and anniversary dates in the history of the islands [1] .
All official holidays in Vanuatu are non-public holidays . If the weekend and non-working holidays coincide, the weekend is transferred to the next working day after the holiday. This rule does not apply during shift work, since during shift work - days off may fall out during the work week. The Government of Vanuatu has the right to change the procedure for determining the transfer of the day off. Also, the government has the right to cancel the holding of celebrations for extraordinary circumstances, as well as in wartime . The country also does not have any regional public holidays [2] .
