Lydia Tsukanova (born November 1, 1945 ) is a Soviet and Russian theater actress. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1997).

Biography
Lydia Tsukanova was born on November 1, 1945 in the village of Nikolskoye, Terbunsky District, Lipetsk Region [1] . In 1965 she graduated from the acting department of the Gorky Theater School (teacher - N. A. Levkoyev ) [2] .
After graduating from the drama school, she worked in theaters in closed cities: Arzamas-16 (1965-1972) and Chelyabinsk-65 (1972-1976). Since 1976 - artist of the Kemerovo Regional Drama Theater. A. V. Lunacharsky [1] .
In 1993-2001, Lydia Tsukanova headed the Kemerovo regional branch of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia . Since 2005, in parallel with work in the theater, has been teaching acting at the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture [1] .
During her acting career, Lydia Tsukanova played more than 200 roles [1] . Family
With her husband, People's Artist of Russia Yevgeny Shokin , Lydia Tsukanova met at the entrance exams at the Gorky Theater School. Spouses often perform on stage together. They have a daughter Vasilisa and granddaughter Ustinia [3] .
