Etymology
The name of the village comes from the genus Hajylar from the Zulkadar tribe [1] .
History
In 1926, according to the administrative-territorial division of the Azerbaijan SSR, the village belonged to the Daira of Haji-Alila of the Goychay district.
After the reform of the administrative division and the abolition of the counties in 1929, the Yukhary-Neymetabadsky village council was formed in the Agdash district of the Azerbaijan SSR .
According to the administrative division of 1977, the village of Gadzhilar was part of the Yukhary-Neymetabad village council of the Agdash district of the Azerbaijan SSR [2] .
In 1999, an administrative reform was carried out in Azerbaijan and the Kobustinsky municipality of Agdash district was established, where the village entered [3] .
Geography
Gajylar is located on the banks of the Neimetabadarh Canal.
The village is located 3 km from the center of Kobusti municipality, 17 km from the district center Agdash and 250 km from Baku . The nearest railway station is Laki.
The village is located at an altitude of 31 meters above sea level.
