Duke de Valmy ( French Duc de Valmy ) - French aristocratic title. It was created by Emperor Napoleon in May 1808 for Francois Christophe Kellerman (1735-1820), Marshal of the Empire since 1804 .

History
The title of the Duke de Valmi comes from the victorious battle of Valmie for the French on September 20, 1792 , when the combined French army, under the command of Dumourier and Kellerman , defeated the Prussian army of the Duke of Braunschweig .
On June 4, 1814, after the first restoration of the Bourbon dynasty in France, François Christoph Kellerman received the rank of peer of France .
In 1868, after the death of the 3rd Duke de Valmi, the title was interrupted.
