Yoshua Shin ( eng. Yoshua Shing ; June 20, 1993 , Port-Vila ) - Vanuat table tennis player , has been playing for the national team of Vanuatu since 2006. Twice silver and twice bronze medalist of the Pacific Games, a participant in two Summer Olympics and four Commonwealth Games.

Biography
Yoshua Shin was born on June 20, 1993 in Port Vila , Vanuatu .
In 2006, he joined the main team of the Vanuatu national table tennis team and performed at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , where he took 25th place in the men's team level.
The first serious success at the international level was achieved in the 2007 season, when he visited the South Pacific Games in Apia and brought back a bronze medal award won in the standings of mixed pairs.
In 2010 he performed at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi : he took 17th place in men's pairs, 25th place in the team level, 33rd place in mixed pairs and singles.
At the 2011 Pacific Games in Noumea, he won a silver medal in the standings of mixed pairs.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London - already in the starting meeting of the men's singles with a score of 0: 4, he was defeated by Cuban Andi Pereira and thus dropped out of the further struggle for medals [1] [2 ] .
After the London Olympics, Shin remained in the Vanuatu table tennis team and continued to take part in major international competitions. So, in 2014, he played at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , where he took 47th place in singles, 19th place in team level, 17th place in men's pairs and 33rd place in mixed pairs.
In 2015, at the Pacific Games in Port Moresby, he twice climbed the podium, receiving silver in singles and bronze in team level.
Qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro - won the Olympic license for the qualifying tournament in Oceania, due to the fact that the NOC of New Zealand decided to abandon the ticket won by Liu Tenten . At the opening ceremony of the Games he was entrusted with the right to carry the banner of his country. As a result, Shin again lost the first single-person duel, this time losing 0-4 to Mexican Marcos Madrid [3] .
In 2018 he became the bronze medalist of the Oceania championship in table tennis in team level, spoke at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast .
