Akhmetov Oktay Akhmetovich ( kaz. Ukitay Akhmetuly Akhmetov; born October 1, 1938 , the village of Barshatas , Semipalatinsk Region , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh poet, publicist, and local historian.

Biography
In 1956-1961 he studied at the Kazakh National Agrarian University . In 1961, according to distribution, he moved to the Sarkan district ( Almaty region ). From 1961 to 1962 he was the chief livestock specialist of the Border Guard farm. 1962-1963 - Senior Specialist of the Livestock Division at the Sarkan Regional Department of Agriculture. 1963-1967 - the main breeder on the farm "Red October". 1967-1979 - Director of the Amanbokter state farm. 1979-1984 - Chairman of the Sarkan District Executive Committee of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR. 1984-1991 - Director of the farm "New World" in the Karatal district of Almaty region. 1991-1993 - Head of Department of the Research Institute of Agriculture of Taldykorgan District. Member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan . He began his creative career in 1990.
