History
Former 1st Marzavin Lane . The lane adjoined Zamshyna Street. It was renamed in August 1940 to Vasenko Lane in memory of test-stratonaut A. B. Vasenko (1899-1934), who died during a record flight on the stratospheric balloon “ Osoaviahim-1 ”.
In 1962, the lane was extended due to a new built-up site and renamed Vasenko Street. In 1970, the street was still slightly extended (the section between Kondratyevsky Prospect and Laboratory Street was included).
