Content
History
The natural monument was created by Decision of the Executive Committee of the Crimean Regional Council of People's Deputies of 09.22.1969 No. 634.
It is a state natural monument of regional importance , according to the Order of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea dated 05.02.2015 No. 69-r “On approval of the List of specially protected natural territories of regional significance of the Republic of Crimea”.
Description
The natural monument was created with the aim of preserving, renewing and rational use of typical and unique natural complexes. Any activity is prohibited or restricted on the territory of a natural monument if it contradicts the goals of its creation or causes harm to natural complexes and their components.
The natural monument is located in the east of the Bulganak mud volcanoes field , in the north-east of the Kerch Peninsula - on the territory of the Voikovsky rural settlement outside the boundaries of settlements - 4 km north of the village of Bondarenkovo .
The nearest settlement is the village of Bondarenkovo , the city is Kerch .
Nature
The object of protection is the mud hill of the same name.
It is an oval-shaped lake 2x3.5 m in size, filled with liquid clay. Large gas bubbles periodically appear on its surface.
