The 112th Rylsk-Korosten Rifle Banner of the Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov Division ( 112th regiment ) is a military formation ( formation , rifle division ) of the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War .

Formation History
The division began to be formed on the basis of the order of the NPO of the USSR No. 0093 of December 3, 1941 as the 445th Infantry Division in the city of Tatarsk . By order of the troops of the Siberian military district No. 0010 of January 13, 1942, the division was renamed the 287th infantry division , and later by order No. 0016 of January 20, 1942 it was renamed the 112th infantry division [1] [2] [3] .
From January to April 1942, the division conducted state formation No. 04/750 of December 6, 1941 [4] , received personnel and conducted combat training. The division was staffed mainly by draftees from the Novosibirsk Region , 20% of draftees were young people of draft age, and 80% were draftees of older ages, of which up to 40% were previously convicted. From April 18 to May 7, the division moved by rail to the city of Ryazan , where until July 12, 1942 it received weapons and personnel training.
On October 20, the division was withdrawn from battle on the left bank of the Volga River in the village of Rybachy , where until December 31, 1942, with the remaining command staff and headquarters, it conducted combat training classes. Subsequently, she was relocated from Stalingrad to the city of Atkarsk, Saratov Region , where from January 13 to February 7, 1943 she conducted state formation No. 04/550 of December 10, 1942 [5] , received replenishment and conducted training in combat training.
Participation in hostilities
Period of entry into the army: July 12, 1942 - December 31, 1942, February 17, 1943 - May 9, 1945 [6] .
On July 12, 1942, the division as part of the 64th Army was redeployed to Kotluban station , detachment 564 and the equestrian detachment of the Stalingrad Region . From July 19 to July 23 it makes a 100-kilometer march and occupies the defense of the rear army line along the northern bank of the Myshkovka River. On July 25, the division came forward to occupy a new line of defense along the eastern bank of the Liska River and the Chir River. By the end of July 26, the 385th Infantry Regiment had taken up defense at the site: Farm No. 5, Aces, Buratsky; The 416th Infantry Regiment defended the area: 156.3, farm No. 4, mark +2.5; The 524th Infantry Regiment, having not had time to reach the line of the Liska River from the march, entered into battle with the erupted units of the 524th Infantry Regiment of the 297th Infantry Division .
On the night of May 18, 1945, the division made a march along the Krittern – Schmolz route and started cleaning and equipping housing, sports camps, shooting ranges, saunas, clubs for food blocks and stables. On May 19, units of the division began scheduled combat training exercises.
From June 22 to August 10, 1945, the division made a march from the city of Breslau to the territory of the USSR to the city of Sarny , where it was part of the 24th Rifle Corps of the 13th Army until its disbandment in May 1946 [2] .
