James Iahuat ( born James Iahuat ; born May 14, 1959 ) is a Vanuatian boxer , middleweight. He played for the Vanuatu boxing team in the second half of the 1980s, a participant in the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul and the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh . Also known as coach, head coach of the Vanuatu national boxing team.

Biography
James Jahuat was born on May 14, 1959.
In 1986, he joined the national team of the Vanuatu national boxing team and attended the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh . Nevertheless, already at the preliminary stage of the middle weight category he was stopped by the local Scottish boxer George Ferry, having lost ahead of schedule in the second round - the referee stopped the match due to the clear advantage of one of the opponents [1] .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, Jahuat was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul - in the opening duel of the category up to 75 kg at the 1/32 final stage, he met with Zaire boxer Musungai Kabongo and lost to him ahead of schedule in the first round, thereby eliminating from the further struggle for medals [2] .
Having completed his career as an athlete, James Jahuat took up coaching. In 1992, as the head coach, he headed the national boxing team of Vanuatu, and remained in this position for many years to come [3] .
