Fighter Description
The original Type B fighter is a long, flat wing with a cockpit at one end. Almost in the center of the main wing, two others are thrown apart, which are actuated during the battle. The fighter is equipped with an unusual cockpit gyro-stabilization system, thanks to which the cockpit maintains the same position, while the wings rotate it, significantly reducing overloads arising from sharp maneuvers. Unfortunately, this complex gyrostabilizing system often breaks down. As a result, the wing is blocked in an intermediate position, and the ship is practically deprived of the ability to maneuver so as not to cause a large overload.
An advanced computer system of type B fighter guidance provides the connection between ion cannons and torpedo launchers, so the ship can bring down maximum firepower to a single target, although at the same time, the pilot can distribute the fire between several targets. Perhaps the pilot considers it necessary to open fire from the laser with a small power so as to "paralyze" the enemy’s ships. Thus, the pilot receives a full range of information in all directions, while the Type B fighter itself goes unnoticed.
In the standard package, each of the additional wings is equipped with an ion cannon, and a third ion cannon is installed at the base of the main wing. The laser gun and the emission-type torpedo launcher are also mounted at the end of the main wing. The engines are located directly above the additional wings, and immediately above them is another torpedo launcher. A pair of automatic blasters are installed on the nose of the module in which the cabin is located; engineers can further increase armed fighters by increasing the number of blasters from two to four.
The developers of type B fighters intentionally equipped them with modules for additional weapons. In just a few hours, mechanics can change the weapons arsenal of fighters by installing additional blasters, laser and ion guns. Each fighter has a powerful Codex Kiromaster engine with 4 nozzles, each of which is adjusted independently of the others. The engine is powered by 1 Vinop-02 ionizing reactor and 4 converters Slane and Korpil JZ-5g7. The ship is equipped with 4 cooling units, which save from exhausting heat.
The capabilities of Type B fighters allow them to develop average sublight speed, and their hyperdrives, Class 2 nodes, are twice as slow as the hyperdrives of their closest "relatives" - type X and A fighter hyperdrives. Unlike other rebel starships, Type B fighters are equipped with navigation computers , but they contain only 2 sets of jump coordinates through hyperspace.
