Ono marshmallow [3] , or fiery marshmallow [4] ( Japonica onoi ), is a species of day butterflies from the family Lycaenidae (Lycaenidae).

Wingspan 32–42 mm. The male and female are painted orange-buffy on the upper side of the wings. The front dimming on the front wing does not cover the front edge of the wing. On the lower side of the fore wing, the median band is long, located closer to the spot of the central cell. Hind wings with tail [3] .
Endemic of Japan [5] . Mistakenly cited for the south of Primorye in Russia , where the double species Japonica lutea dubatolovi Fujioka, 1993 [4] lives.
One generation is developing in a year. Flight time from mid-June to late August. Butterfly is rare. The caterpillar develops on the serrated oak ( Quercus serrata ) [3] .
