Hanna-Riikka Siitonen ( Finnish. Hanna-Riikka Siitonen ; November 13, 1970 , Helsinki , Finland - July 23, 2018 , ibid.) Is a Finnish actress and singer who became famous as one of the members of the musical pop duo Taikapeili in the 1990s years. She starred in the TV2 series " New Day ." Siitonen was a master of theatrical art.

Siitonen played in the theater, musicals, worked on television and radio. She also worked as a vocal teacher in the Idols television music competition.
Life and career
Siiitonen was born in the family of actor and musician Matti “Fredi” Siitonen (born 1942) and the policy of Eva-Riitta Siitonen (born 1940).
Siitonen began playing the piano and violin at the age of six at the Oriental Music Institute in Helsinki. Later, she also became interested in dancing and theater and went to study at the Higher Theater School in Kallio. She continued her studies at the Oulunkyl Pop-Jazz Conservatory, where she graduated with a degree in vocal teacher. Then she continued her studies at the Turku School of Arts and Communications in 1993. Siitonen graduated from the school with a degree in musical theater direction. In 1996, Sitonen joined the Theater Academy and in 1998 graduated from the master's program in theatrical art.
In 1994, Siitonen, together with her friend Nina Tapio, created the Taikapeili group. The duo released a total of three albums. The first two of them were a great success. Siitonen was a backing vocalist for numerous artists and played in musicals. She traveled with the Kabbas Abbaa show, for example, at the Palace of Musical Theater and the Musical Theater in Koto. She also participated in the Finnhitz show at the Musical Theater Palace. Siitonen acted as a vocal teacher in the Idols program and as a backing vocalist in the final broadcasts. She taught singing at the Skene Music School. Siitonen also acted as a songwriter in Taikapeili and AiA. She also acted as a music producer and songwriter for the band Vihreät valot, whose members were young actors from the TV series New Day.
Siitonen played the role of Lisbeth Kanerva in the television series TV2 “New Day” in 2010-2018.
She was married to actor and director Yann Virtanen . They have been together since 2000 and married in June 2003. They have one daughter, Vieno Virtanen (born in 2006), who also starred in New Day. Siitonen has been suffering from thyroid cancer since 2000. She died in Terhokode, Helsinki, in July 2018.
