Duke Decazus

Duke Decazess ( French Duc Decazess ) - French aristocratic title. It was created on February 20, 1820, by King Louis XVIII for the French statesman Ely Decase (1780-1868). He served as Prefect of the Paris Police (1815), Member of the Chamber of Deputies from the Department of Seine (1815-1816), Minister of Police (1815-1818), Minister of the Interior (1818-1820) and Prime Minister of France (1819-1820). In 1816 he received the title of Count Dekaz. In 1818, after his second marriage, Eli Dekaz received the Danish hereditary title of Duke Glucksberg . In 1822, this title was recognized in France.

  • 1941—2011 : Eli-Louis-Henry-Christian Dekaz , 5th Duke of Dekaz and Glucksberg (May 16, 1914 - March 17, 2011), the eldest son of the previous
  • 2011 - present : Louis-Frederic-Renee-Marie-Edouard Decaz , 6th Duke of Decaz and Glucksberg (born 1946), the only son of the previous one.
