Biography

Born on January 25, 1937 in the village of the Volzhskaya Kommuna state farm in the Kurmanayevsky district of the Orenburg Region. He graduated from the Bashkir Agricultural Institute (1960).

  • 1960-1965 agronomist farm them. Kuybysheva, deputy director for academic affairs of agricultural schools, the chief agronomist of the experimental farm, the chief agronomist of the meat and dairy state farm (Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic).
  • 1965-1972 Researcher at the Kuban Experimental Station, All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Production (VIR).
  • 1972-1975 Senior Researcher, Head of the Laboratory of the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture.
  • 1975-1976 Senior Researcher, VIR.
  • 1976-1987 Director of the Kuban experimental station VIR, head of the laboratory for the selection of early ripening corn.
  • 1987–2015 Deputy Director for Research, Head of the Department of Breeding and Seed Production, since 1990 Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Corn.

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1992), professor (1978), academician of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1999), academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2013).

Author and co-author of 42 zoned maize hybrids.

Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1986), awarded the Order of Friendship (2008), 2 VDNH medals. Inventor of the USSR . Received more than 100 copyright certificates and patents for hybrids and lines of corn.
