Assumption Church ( Moldavian Biserica Adormirea Maicii Domnului ) is the temple of the Kishinev diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church in the city of Kishinev . The church was built as a common faith . Also called Bulgarian street on which it is located. In Chisinau, there is another church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary .

History
The church was built on the donations of fellow believers from Chisinau, Odessa and St. Petersburg in July-November 1891. November 22, 1892 she was consecrated. In 1896 a bell tower was added to the church, and a round extension from the north appeared even later. In 1941, the building was badly damaged by the fighting [1] . In 1943, repairs were carried out by I. Skoartse [2] .
On September 5, 1963, the church building was transferred to the Academy of Sciences of the Moldavian SSR . In the 1990s, the temple was returned to believers. On January 8, 1991, the first service was served after almost thirty years of recess [2] .
Architecture
The church was built in the typical Russian style with elements of classicism in the decor. When built, the building was smaller and had three entrances. The main space of the temple in terms of square. On the east side there is a semicircular apse , on the west side there is a bell tower [3] . After repairs in 1943, the dome of the church and bell tower have a different shape [1] .
