The okka , also called the eye, is an Ottoman measure of weight.
Ocka or, used among the Slavs, the eye is an Ottoman measure of weight equal to 400 dirhams of 3.207 g = 1.2828 kg [1] . According to Otto Blau , 180 occa make up himl [2] .
The name of the measure eye (or eye [3] ) was distributed among the Slavic peoples in the 18th century, as the weight of goods imported from Turkey, Crimea and Greece: tobacco, coffee, oils, rice, wine, lemon juice, etc. [4] .
