Taekwondo at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics

Taekwondo competitions at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games were held from October 7 to 11 at the Polideportivo Roca Park in Buenos Aires , the capital of Argentina . 10 sets of awards were played: boys and girls in five different weight categories. The competition was attended by athletes born between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2002.

Content

History

Taekwondo is a regular type of program that debuted at the I Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore .

Compared to the previous Youth Olympics in 2014, the competition program has remained the same, the drawing of medals will take place in 10 weight categories.

Qualification

Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can participate in a maximum of 6 disciplines, 3 for each gender.

As a host country of the Games, Argentina can claim athletes in six weight categories.

The total number of athletes who will compete was determined by the International Olympic Committee and amounted to 100 people (50 girls and 50 boys).
